Grant writing & funding access

Funding shouldn't be the hardest part of doing good.

We help nonprofits, charities, tribal councils, and Indigenous communities secure the funding they’ve earned and build the internal capacity to keep securing it long after we’re gone.

The gap we exist to close

Good work doesn't fund itself.

Every year, billions in available funding goes unclaimed — not because the need isn’t real, but because most organizations doing the real work were never trained to write a winning grant application.

Nonprofits are stretched thin running programs, not chasing paperwork. Indigenous communities and tribal councils are navigating funding systems that weren’t built with them in mind. Entrepreneurs and startups don’t know funding for their idea even exists.

We started Intention to Impact because we kept watching this happen from two different sides of the same problem and decided to build the bridge ourselves.

What we do

Four ways we get funding moving.

Whether you need us to handle it end-to-end or teach your team to do it yourselves, we meet you where you are.

01

Grant writing

Full-service grant proposals: research, narrative, budget, compliance, submission and follow-up. We only succeed when you secure the funding.

02

Nonprofit & charity consulting

Strategic guidance on building a fundable, sustainable organization: from governance to funding strategy to long-term capacity.

03

NPO & charity registration

We register nonprofits and charities for communities, tribal councils, and entrepreneurs: done right from day one, so funders trust you faster.

04

AI grant-finder tool

A subscription tool that finds matching grants and helps you draft them yourself: for teams who want funding access on their own terms.

How it works

From first conversation to funded reality.

01

Free consultation

We learn your community’s needs, project goals, and funding history — no cost, no obligation.

02

Funding research

We identify federal, provincial, corporate and foundation opportunities that actually fit your project.

03

Proposal & budget

We write the narrative, build the budget, and assemble every required document and attachment.

04

Review & submission

We proofread, compliance-check, and submit — then track the application and follow up for you.

05

Ongoing support

Funded or not, we stay in it with you — managing next steps or finding the next opportunity.

For organizations who want independence, not dependence. Our AI grant-finder surfaces funding matches in minutes and helps you draft a strong first pass — so you control the process and the cost.

Who we are

Built by two people who saw the gap firsthand.

VW

Vanessa Wideski

Co-founder

Ten years ago, Vanessa started a nonprofit to fill a gap she saw in her community. Today, that organization is self-sustaining and is growing into a funder in its own right.

Along the way, she helped launch organizations like the Tri-Cities Friendship Centre and the Whonnock Cultural Reclamation Society, working closely alongside Indigenous leaders.

MH

Maverick Han

Co-founder

Maverick built Iskotêw Training from the ground up — a program training Indigenous youth for careers in firefighting and emergency services, rooted in cultural knowledge and mental wellness.

Watching communities fight for every dollar of support, he saw the need for a dedicated partner who could carry that weight.
